Crawling

9 Months Old!

We can't believe our baby girl is already 9 months old. She is just growing by leaps and bounds. After our trip to Arizona earlier this month, Alexa has gotten extremely more adventurous because she saw how mobile her older cousins were and she wants to be like them. So she has started crawling in, out, under, over and through everything. I've attached several pictures of this. Alexa's 2nd tooth has come in which can be seen in a couple of the pictures...she's such a ham with her toothy grin!! We had her 9 month doctor's appointment today and she's only gained 10 ounces since her 6 month appointment which puts her at 21 lbs and she's now 27 3/4 inches tall. She's really started to "talk" and Kevin's convinced she's saying "Dada" and knows what she's talking about. We're excited now to be heading to Canada next weekend to introduce Alexa to the Baker side of the family....she'll probably be walking after that after seeing even more cousins on the move! :-)

Family Pictures

We decided we finally needed to do some family pictures and thought the nice green yard at Kevin's parents' house would be the perfect backdrop. We had to take the pictures quickly though as Alexa was pretty tired and not so patient!

About our trip to Arizona

Hello all....we just got home today from a fun trip to visit Kevin's family in Arizona. We spent the first couple days hanging out with Kevin's sister Becky and her family. It was fun to play with her boys and meet new little Brianna. We also went swimming with Ann, Connor and Amelia and were able to visit with some friends as well. Then we went to Elfrida to spend a few days with Kevin's parents. We had a picnic up in the mountains at Cochise Stronghold, shot guns, went to church where Kevin got to show Alexa off and visited Kartchner Caverns on our way back to Phoenix. We then had a fun family party at Darron and Ann's community pool where Alexa got to swim and play with all her cousins on her daddy's side of the family. We then spent our last couple days hanging out at Duane and Emily's house where Alexa had a blast. She really took a liking to both Ainsley and Emily. Sadly, we had to come back to Kentucky today but it is nice to be back in our own space and sleep in our own beds! We're tired now and adjusting to our 3 hour time change but we all had a lot of fun and are glad we were able to make some fun memories. Arizona Trip - August 2007

July 20, 2007: 8 Months Old!

Alexa has really grown up this month. She's well on her way to crawling, she's gotten her first tooth, she's learned to clap and she just started playing peek-a-boo. She's so much fun to have around...always making us laugh with the silly things she does. She has her daddy wrapped around her finger and I love it....they have such a sweet relationship. She gets so excited when either one of us come in the room and it just makes our hearts melt. Until next month...

Mmmmm....cookie!

I gave Alexa her first baby cookie. She LOVED it but it was pretty messy. She didn't seem to mind though and it kept her busy while we ate dinner, so we didn't mind either!!

My Baby and Me!!

Alexa LOVES her mommy! I love how her face lights up when I come in the room. We have so much fun together!
