Children's Museum

We haven't been to the Tucson Children's Museum since Alexa was 3.  It was right after we moved back here and I wasn't all that impressed.  I mean, our only other experience with a Children's Museum was the one in Indianapolis (only the LARGEST one in the country) and so this one just wasn't up to snuff.  Plus...Alexa had a massive tantrum.  So there was that!

 

Anywho, we thought we'd give it a try...plus it was time to spend with some of our bestest friends before they take off for a few weeks!

 

And I'm happy to report that we had a really fun time!  Sure it's smaller...but the kiddos were all entertained and we even managed to keep Barrett somewhat happy the entire time!  He especially loved the room with the trains!

 

 

 

 

 

Crazy Kids

I'm not sure why my bed is a favorite place to play, but it is.

Especially AFTER I've made it for the day!

These crazy 3 musketeers thought it'd be fun to pretend they were sleeping!

Oh well...at least it keeps them entertained while mommy is trying to get ready for the day!!!

 

 

Super Hero Day at the Y

I got done with my workout this morning and went to get the kiddos...and found this!

 

I now have 3 little super heroes all my own!

 

 

And what are superheroes...without superhero friends??!!!

Memorial Day

We normally like to get together with friends or family to have a BBQ on Memorial Day.

But plans with a couple different friends fell through so we decided to just hang out as a family.

And it was great.

We still had a BBQ but we also played at the pool.

Sure glad Alexa's cast is waterproof!!

It was a fun day with our little family!

 

Thankful to be a Mommy!

These three kiddos have taught me so much, tried my patience like no other :), and filled my heart like I never knew was possible....I'm soooo thankful to be called "mommy" by each of them!

Easter Sunday

The girls were excited to wake up this morning to find out what the Easter Bunny had brought them!

Barrett was a little unsure, however!

 

 

The kiddos all decked out in their Easter clothes!

 

What handsome men and pretty ladies I have!

 

I'm so grateful for this Easter season.  A time to remember the sacrifice my Savior made for me and the knowledge that he lives again.  This brings me so much peace!

The Ostrich Farm

We have lived 25 minutes away from this ostrich farm/petting zoo for 3 years now and finally decided to go check it out.  After Spring Break, Alexa came home from school saying that "everyone else" in her class had gone there over the break and that we just HAD to go!

 

It turned out to be pretty fun!

 

The kiddos started out feeding the donkeys. The girls loved getting up close and personal but Barrett preferred to just watch!  There was one donkey (I think it might even be the lighter one in this picture) that would smile at you and he looks JUST like the donkey from Shrek when he does!  Hilarious!

 

 

They also have a big Monster Truck tour you can go on.  We tried it out and probably won't do it again until all the kiddos are older!  But it was still enjoyable.

 

We got to feed the ostriches...or go fishing for ostriches!! :-)

 

They had deer and goats.

 

Lorikeets, ducks, prairie dogs.  Lots to see and do!

Desert Museum

Alexa is on Spring Break this week so we decided to get out of the house and do something fun!

To the Desert Museum we go!!!  The kids always have such a fun time going there!

 

Zoo Day

We ventured to the zoo today...

we have to take advantage of cool Spring days to be outside before the temperature heats up!!

 

Today we got to see the Tiger Training...pretty darn cool!

 

 

And we saw an albino peacock!  Crazy cool!

Valentine's Day & Father/Daughter Dance

Tonight was the Father/Daughter Dance at Alexa's school.

She was sooooo excited to be going on such a special date with her daddy!

We had a cold snap a few weeks ago, with temps falling below freezing...not good for us Arizonans!  We finally broke down and bought Alexa a warmer jacket...here she is being a "cold monster"!

 

Someone wanted to play with his sisters!

He's starting to look so grown up!  Oh I love this boy!

 

And the award for best bedhead goes to....PAYTON!!!
