..::Barrett: 3 Months::..

Bubba is 3 MONTHS old!!

We love our little man more than anything! He started giggling this past month and "talking". He's so alert and gives us the biggest smiles. He discovered his hands and they apparently are the most tasty treat for him these days as he constantly is trying to fit his entire fists into his mouth!! He loves to be held and there were definitely lots of extra willing people the past few weeks to hold him! He was in heaven! We are so blessed to have little bubba man in our family!

:: Fun In The Sun ::

Our good friends, the Gardeas, are moving this weekend. :-( So we've been getting together as much as possible this week before we don't see them as often. They're only moving 2 hours away, but we're SURE going to miss them. When you find a good friend, that you get along with sooooo well, and then you have kids that are the same ages and get along also...well, it just bites when that good friend has to move. Anyways, we had a GREAT time at the splash park today with said good friends. I'm bummed that I didn't get any pictures of all the kids together though. Pictures or not, just know, Gardea Family, that we will miss you bunches and bunches and bunches!!

..::Barrett: Two Months::..

Wowza...you've beefed up just a bit my little man!!

*May 23rd - smiled for the first time

*May 27th - went to first UofA sporting event (baseball game)

*June 5th - Blessing Day

*June 17th - 2 Month check up, got shots (you were so brave)

We just all love and adore Barrett soooooo much! He's such a good, happy baby. He has his fussy times in the evening, but other than that, he cries when he needs something, hungry, diaper change, sleep. We are so grateful he's a part of our family.

::Mortenson Family Party::

This past weekend was supposed to be the Mortenson Family Camp Out...however, due to all the forest fires in the State, the camp out got cancelled. But everyone still wanted to get together. So we all ventured up to Phoenix and went bowling. I think everyone had a great time!

Marial even got a strike!!!!

Payton wanted NOTHING to do with the camera...silly girl!

All of the Mortenson grandkids together at one time....quite a goodlookin' bunch, don't ya think?!! :-)

After bowling, we all went over to Darron & Ann's house for lunch, then most of us parted ways for an afternoon siesta, and then back to Darron & Ann's for swimming and dinner. Fun times had by all!!!

And to top off the fun-filled day, the kids got to crack open a pinata!!!

I'm so grateful for the family I married into. Thanks Mortensons for a great day. It's sure fun to spend time with family!

..::Barrett's Blessing Day::..

Our little family of five on Barrett's special day!

We loved having everyone over to celebrate at our house after church.

Our special little man on his big day. Kevin gave him a beautiful blessing at church today. I hope Barrett will always know that he is surrounded by so many family members who love him! My Aunt Marina made him his blessing outfit. She had made the girls their beautiful dresses and I wanted Barrett to have something made by her as well (she's an amazing seamstress) to pass on down to his children if he chooses. Thanks Aunt Marina!

Thank you to everyone who shared in our day and who contributed to our lunch afterwards. We are so blessed and so grateful for our family. We wish my family could have attended as well...but it's quite the drive from Canada! We love you all!

..::Family Party::..

Tomorrow is Barrett's Blessing Day so since all of Kevin's family will be in town, his brother invited everyone to his house for a BBQ and pool party this afternoon. The girls absolutely love being able to go over to their cousins' house to go swimming...and adding ALL of their cousins into the mix was so fun for them!

Payton is no longer scared of the little waterslide.

She wants to go down it again and again...and again!

It was a fun-filled afternoon with the family and we're so grateful they came to share in our special day tomorrow.

Party Time

Today was our little friend, Pierson's, birthday. His party was at Pump It Up, a fun play place here. The last time we went, I was about 1/2 way through my pregnancy with Barrett and all Payton wanted to do was go down this huge slide...but she needed my help going up the stairs/ladder part of it. Needless to say, I was just a little bit exhausted by the end of that excursion and vowed I wouldn't go back whilst prego! Sooooo fast forward several months, and we're invited to a birthday party. Of course we'll go...I'm no longer pregnant AND I think Payton is big enough to do it on her own! Sure enough....here she is, going up (all by herself)!

Hahahaha...she's going to resent me for posting these pictures later, I'm sure, but I can't help getting a kick out of them. She only face-planted a couple of times but I just so happened to capture one on film and I love how it shows the progression of said face plant!!

Anyways, we had a GREAT time celebrating with our good friends! Happy Birthday little buddy, we're sure gonna miss you when you move!

Barrett got to go to his first Arizona sporting event at just over a month old, the lucky little guy! There was a great Groupon deal for tickets to an Arizona baseball game, so we went with our friends, the Changs and the Gardeas. We all had a great time, even Barrett who slept through most of it!!
