[Pumpkin Picking 2010]

We went up to Phoenix this weekend for several reasons...to go to the temple, to spend time with family, to see some friends and to go pumpkin picking. We had a great time at the temple, a fabulous time with old friends from Kentucky (thanks Adam and Erin for a yummy dinner, it was great to see you again!), and enjoyed our time at Kevin's sister's house (thanks Georganna for putting up with us, especially since Payton got sick!!). We also had so much fun picking out our pumpkins this year, although we surely miss Huber Farms in Indiana!! Hubers will always hold a special place in our hearts...but Vertuccio Farms in Mesa was also fun. There were many things for the kids to do and we had a great time with Georganna and Joshua!

Can you Tell who Is who???

I haven't done a comparison of the girls in a loooooooong time. And lately, several people have told me how much Payton looks like Alexa did at her age...so I thought it high time for another comparison! Can you guess which is which? Once you've decided, click on the picture to see the answers in the bottom corners!!

::Cutie Pie::

This little lady sure loves the camera! She immediately says "Cheese" as soon as I pull it out!! We sure love our cutie pie!!

~~Helping Daddy~~

We LOVE our wonderful Fall weather here in Arizona!! It's perfect for getting out on a Saturday morning and washing the cars! Yep, that's right...it's the beginning of October and Alexa is STILL in a swimsuit!!! I LOVE it!

..::Silly Girls::..

Yesterday, when Payton woke up from her nap, I was busy doing something (I'm sure it was important!!) and so Alexa went into her room to keep her happy until I could get in there. And this is what I found when I finally got there!! Alexa had gotten a little chair from her room and climbed on into Payton's crib...silly girls! Apparently, Payton thought it was great fun too!!

And Finally...

I've updated the blog and added several new posts today. However, THIS is the kicker!!

***

Alexa & Payton have something to tell ya'll...

Yep, you guessed it...coming to a hospital near us in April 2011 is Baby #3!

"Just like you, Mommy!"

This morning, as I was getting ready and doing my own makeup, Alexa decided she needed to do her own too and proceeded to choose which colors she wanted...purple and blue! Great combination for making her look like she had two black eyes, don't ya think??!! At least I managed to get most of the eyeshadow off from underneath her eyes before we ventured out of the house this morning!

~~CAMPING~~

This past weekend, Alexa got to go on her very first camping trip, with her daddy and her grandparents. To say she was beyond excited is an understatement. And to say Kevin was beyond excited is an understatement too!! I opted out for any number of reasons...the biggest being that I just didn't want to deal with Payton and all of us getting NO sleep because of her not sleeping!! Anyways, Kevin has been dying to go camping for a very long time and so he was very excited to move home to Arizona and be able to take his kids camping where he used to camp as a kid. So, on Friday, we loaded him and Alexa up and they drove down to Elfrida to meet up with Kevin's parents (thankfully they were willing to go since they have all the camping gear!!), and then drove up to Rucker Canyon. And I'm pleased to report that they had a fabulous time, as evidenced by the pictures! Maybe one day I'll even venture on a camping trip...maybe!! ;-)

::Story time and Lunch at the Park::

Today we went to story time at the library, which we do quite often on Thursdays (no pictures of this though), and then we went to the park afterwards for a picnic. My friend Camille and I decided that since it was now technically Fall, we should be outside, despite the temperatures still in the 90's. And as long as we were in the shade, it wasn't too bad. It will definitely be nice for it to cool down a bit though so we can start enjoying more time outside!

Regardless of the heat though, Payton LOVED the slides! She could live on a slide if we'd let her!
And Alexa had fun with her friends, even though she was being quite grumpy when I tried to take her picture!

--Procrastination--

THIS is was it looks like when you let about 3 different laundry days worth of clean clothes pile up!!! Procrastination at it's best. And I purposely folded them on my bed so I would HAVE to put them away before going to bed last night. Otherwise the clean, folded laundry would have then sat for who knows how long in baskets!!! :-)

{Tucson Children's Museum}

We went to the Tucson Children's Museum today. I knew, from hearing from other people, that it wasn't very big so I'm glad I was prepared...because it was NOTHING like the Indianapolis Children's Museum, the only other one we've been to. The Indy one is A-MAZ-ING! Seriously, it's huge and even though we spent about 4 hours there, didn't even make it through 1/2 of it. Well, today, we were there for not even 2 hours and saw every square foot of it. Despite that though, we had a fun time with friends...until a meltdown resulted in having to leave early!
Sorry it's blurry...but Payton LOVED the firetruck! She screamed when I took her down!
And both girls loved the police motorcycle too!
Alexa enjoyed the art section as well. There was definitely more to see than the above...but apparently I didn't take anymore pictures after this! A fun day...but not sure if we'll go back!

Playgroup, Again!

Okay, it was so funny today...most of the morning after playgroup arrived at our house, several of the girls (mine included) kept asking to watch a show or watch a movie. But I kept telling them no, that they needed to just play. Well, finally, about 1/2 an hour before playgroup was over, I gave in and said "okay"...oh my, you should have seen how quickly 6 little girls bounded onto the couch and ended up like this! Seriously, less time than it took to blink! They were so excited...so we watched a show for about 5 minutes before they bounded off and did something else! Funny girls!

These Boots Are Made For Walkin'...

Happy Labor Day!! As you can tell, we celebrate in style!! We decided to head to the pool this morning and Alexa thought Payton definitely needed to try on some new shoes (when we moved into our house, our realtor gave us a huge box of clothes and shoes for Payton as she has a little girl exactly one year older than Payton). And so Alexa pulled out these cute brown boots...well, Payton LOVED them! She started struttin' as soon as they were on. And then, of course, Alexa had to be the same! LOVE these girls! What would I ever do without them???

:Updates:

So....I know some of you may be shocked and amazed, but I FINALLY updated my blog. It's only been a month and a half or so! No excuses really...just seriously lack of motivation, together with the fact that I'm almost never on the computer for longer than a couple minutes here and there, and you've got NO updates from me!! But here we are, totally updated...for now. I'll try and do better from here on out!! :-)
